Our client wanted adequate street lighting for a commercial car park surrounding a variety of businesses at East Ridge Drive, Chirnside Park. The open car park covers a significant area with extensive lighting required for the safety of both the public and the staff working in the adjacent buildings.

Solution

For this particular project, we completed a retrofit installation using the existing poles at their current location. We replaced the 400-watt street lights with 120-watt LED street lights (ST-3120A). This significantly reduced dark spots in the corners and along the edges of the car park. Once the retrofit was complete, the carpark lighting now complies with Australian Standard AS/NZA:1158.3.1.2020: PC3.

Technical Highlights

Each 120-watt light features our unique modular driver, which ensures longevity and minimal maintenance. This modular driver allows for easy replacement without the need for electrical work.
The lights are corrosion resistant and waterproof with an IP65 rating and have multi-directional heat dissipation fins to allow for all outdoor weather conditions and temperatures between minus 25 degrees and 55 degrees Celsius.
The daylight sensors are perfect for this type of lighting as they respond to the amount of natural light, thus coming on at dusk and turning off at dawn.
Each light comes with a 5-year warranty, making it a highly sustainable solution.
